Episode 66: Rondo Towards Destruction
Tezuka is still going all out, using his signature zero-shiki drop shot and leading 3-2 against Atobe. Sakaki makes the observation that Tezuka wants to win quickly, but Atobe says he has it all under control. While Atobe and Tezuka are still at their bench, Rikkai's Renji and Sanada notice that Atobe hasn't used his special move yet, Hametsu e no Rondo. Basically the first smash knocks the racquet out of an opponent's hand, and the second smash will land for the point. The two are back in the game and Tezuka makes a lob. Everyone expects a smash coming but Atobe merely hits it back. While some people are relieved, it seems that a few are concerned at Atobe's approach. Not only is he dragging it out, but he's planning to destroy Tezuka's elbow. The doctor had said Tezuka's elbow recovered fully, but should avoid long matches or the zero shiki drop shot. However, Tezuka is serious about this match and isn't going to back down. If Atobe's looking for a long match, Tezuka is determined to beat him at his game.

Episode 67: The Last Shot
Tezuka still leads in the match 6-5. It's Tezuka's turn to serve, and he is still able to have perfect control of the ball. Atobe finally uses his special move. However, he failed to knock Tezuka's racquet out of his hand in the first smash. Not only that, but the second smash ends up returning to Tezuka's position by itself and Tezuka gains another point with his drop shot. As Tezuka was about to make the serve for the match point, his shoulder finally fails and he drops his racquet. The team runs towards their captain, seeing him in such pain. But Tezuka tells them to go back since the match hasn't ended. The tables have turned in favour of Atobe, but he doesn't seem the any happier. Ryuzaki-sensei returns and Echizen returns the position of bench coach to her. He also takes his equipment with him. Momoshiro follows along, knowing Echizen wants a partner to warm up with. Atobe easily catches up, and the match goes into tie break.

Episode 68: The Never Ending Tie Breaker
Hence the title, the tiebreaker is at 35-34 and neither Tezuka nor Atobe has settled the game. The two try their hardest, but at the very end, Atobe comes out victorious because Tezuka's return hits the net and doesn't make it to the other side. The entire audience is just looks on in silence for a moment before cheering.
With Tezuka's loss, it means an extra game to determine which school wins. Echizen steps up against Hyotei's Hiyoshi Wakashi. While Hiyoshi is thinking about how to climb up the ladder in the team, Echizen's twist serves gets right by him. However, Hiyoshi is able to return it after seeing it a couple of times, but Echizen doesn't give him any room and does a zero shiki drop shot just like Tezuka's. Hiyoshi finally starts to get serious and changes his form to one that resembles Kobujyutsu. Echizen follows, switching to his left hand (and whipping out Drive B at lot). The audience and Hiyoshi have a problem seeing Echizen last throughout the game because of his fast pace but Echizen is just fine and takes the victory. Seigaku ends up winning in the end.

Episode 69: Who Will Be A Regular
During morning practice after the previous game with Hyotei, Ryuzaki announces that Tezuka won't be back for a while from his injury. There's no guarantee that the regulars will remain the same, so everyone is very fired up about practicing and having a chance to join the regulars team for the Kantou match. Kachiroh however is still bothered by everyone attitude. No one seems to care much about the captain's injury and worrying about guaranteeing their own spot on the regulars team. When Arai says it's a chance, Kachiroh is very pissed off. Their argument ends up bringing them onto the court. This attracts other members to watch as well. As expected, Kachiroh is having a hard time but during the last game, Arai falls and fails to return the ball. Oishi steps in to stop the game and sends everyone to run laps. Kachiroh finds that Arai had been training with ankle weights all along and had misunderstood Arai's intentions earlier and apologizes. And all is well again.

Episode 70: Tennis vs Ping Pong
At school, people are taking part in different sports activities (which they call a mix club day). Oishi and Kikumaru are in volleyball, Inui and Kawamura are playing baseball, Momoshiro's in basketball and Kaidoh's in badminton. Echizen's opponent in ping pong is a freshman named Musashi Kaishou who used to be on the ping pong team. His reason for quitting the ping pong club all of a sudden was so that he could get revenge on Ryoma for taking all the glory as a tennis prodigy while no one paid attention to him. Echizen's in a pinch, and decides to hold the racket as if a tennis racket. Of course, Echizen doesn't lose in tennis. So who have we not seen yet? Where's Fuji anyway. It seems like he's doing curling ^^; Because no one else is in the event, he's the default winner ^^;
